The Cougars traveled to Atwood Kansas on Jan. 19, and finished in 1st Place for the first time in school history |
The Cougars finished the year with 36 wrestlers, and graduated only 1 senior (Kimball Jordan). The 2007-08 season will be exciting as we begin the "Quest for Greatness" with many eager wrestlers who have put in extra time throughout the off-season. The Cougars will return many veterans including: State Qualifiers Daniel Jordan & Dustin Brown, returning letterman Stephen Snider, Zach Buccieri, Alex Brown, Taylor Rivera, Brad Estis, Willy Gustin, Devon Turnick, Ethan Hales, Josh Hoeft, Brad Seaton, Andy Shute, Ceasar Smith, Kyle McReynolds along with many other returning wrestlers. The 2007-2008 wrestling season looks very promising with the mixture of veterans and newcomers. As coaches we are excited to watch the many young men become "Champions Both On and Off the Mat" during the course of the 2007-08 school year. Go Cougars!! |

The Cougars traveled to Aurora Central this last weekend for the Skyline League Dual Wrestling Tournament and finished in 3rd Place!! Great jobs Cougars! (see the results for the dual meet scores)
The 4A Regional #2 Wrestling Tournament will take place this Friday at 4:00, and Sat. starting at 9:30 a.m. at Cherokee Trail High School. All table workers, concessions, gate and hospitality workers please be at the school early.
ALL WRESTLERS (not varsity) NEED TO BE AT CTHS ON THURSDAY BY 8:30 P.M. TO SET UP FOR THE REGIONAL MEET!
